The experience of therapy for people diagnosed with trichotillomania

Would you like to contribute to the growing knowledge about trich by sharing some of your experiences? If so, I would be interested in hearing about it.

I have been an ARCVic Helpline volunteer and co-facilitator of the Trichotillomania Support Group. I am currently conducting research towards completion of a Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy at The Cairnmillar Institute, looking into “The experience of therapy for people diagnosed with trichotillomania”, under the supervision of Ms. Biliana Dearly.

I am seeking up to six participants aged 18 years and over who have been diagnosed with trich and who are currently undergoing therapy for the trich, (or have previously undergone therapy for trich), and are attending support groups.

Participation in the study involves a 45 to 60 minute interview at a mutually convenient time and place, face-to face. An audio recording of the interview will be made which will be deleted once the interview is transcribed. Your responses are confidential, information will be anonymous and pseudonyms will be used.

Participation in this study is voluntary and you are free to withdraw from the study at any time without question or explanation.

I am looking to interview between 2-6 people so if you want to have a say, get in early!
