  • Learning strategies to reduce and manage stress and anxiety whilst studying for VCE.
  • How to recognise when things are getting too much.
  • How to plan your study time and improve problem solving.
  • How to stay motivated and maintain a healthy mood.
  • How to create your VCE study team.
  • Where to get help.

This workshop is facilitated by, Aisha Brydon - Psychologist and ARCVic consultant

Each participant receives materials to take away.

Cost:  $300 for group of 20 (total sum paid by school or individual students $15.00 each)

How to Manage a VCE House - a workshop for parents

To be held at your school for parents—topics include:

  • How to help your family’s VCE student to stay healthy and productive when preparing for and sitting exams
  • Maintaining healthy relationships
  • How to offer practical and emotional support
  • Maintaining a healthy productive brain
  • Healthy sleep and recreation
  • How to help rather than  hinder
  • When enough is enough
  • Managing the rest of the family during stressful times

This workshop is facilitated by, Aisha Brydon - Psychologist and ARCVic consultant

Cost:  $200 (total sum paid by school or parents group)

In Schools Program

The Anxiety Recovery Centre Victoria runs an ‘in schools program’ that provides information & education around the growing issue of anxiety in children. Sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of both primary & secondary school students and are of particular relevance to the Year 9 Health Days program.

Sessions typically focus on:

  • Understanding anxiety
  • Exploring how individuals experience anxiety differently
  • Identifying  the  links between body, mind & behaviour
  • Challenging unhelpful ways of thinking
  • Adopting a problem-solving approach
  • Ways to build resilience
  • & Increasing assertiveness

 

Sessions can be customised to the specific needs of your school & adapted to suit parents or as professional training for teachers.
